Dr Garvi Pandya

Dr Garvi J Pandya is a specialist in Advanced Internal Medicine and Sleep Medicine; with a focus on areas such as acute and general medicine, as well as chronic disease management.
Internal Medicine physicians are able to provide care for a multitude of conditions, as their postgraduate and specialist training includes going through different specialities such as cardiology, endocrinology, neurology, gastroenterology, nephrology, respiratory medicine, rheumatology, infectious diseases, geriatric medicine and others.
It also includes taking care of patients in hospitals where patients with different symptoms are admitted, managed appropriately and discharged from the same unit.
In addition, with her Master of Medicine degree in sleep medicine, Dr Pandya practiced at an independent sleep clinic since many years where she manages various sleep disorders for patients (please look at sleep medicine page). Her work also includes analysis of raw data for sleep study and report sleep studies. She is acting secretary of Singapore Sleep Society.
Dr Garvi also played an active role in teaching, as an assistant professor and teaching faculty at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. She has received multiple teaching awards. She was also lead for LKC year 3, medical posting at LKC. She was also core-faculty for medicine for PGY1 at NUH.

Poster Presentation:

in BMJ – International forum on quality and safety conference London, UK April 2017. Poster topic “Right siting of tertiary hospital patients to primary care center improves discharge rates and reduced specialist outpatient clinic waiting time.”

IDCP 2.0 – Infectious disease Control Programme for Nursing Homes – I am mainly involved in developing clinical pathways for Nursing Homes – eg Fever, desaturation,scabies etc… (abstracted presented at IDSA, USA, Oct 2022).
